Saudi King Directs Regional Governors to Take Care of Citizens’ Interests

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has directed the governors of regions to follow-up, facilitate and take care of the interests of citizens and expatriates in order to achieve the comprehensive development and serve the country’s and citizens' interests.

His directives were given as he received at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah Tuesday evening, in the presence of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, governors of the Saudi administrative regions, on the occasion of holding their 26th annual meeting.

They were Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region; Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan Region; Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Tabuk Region; Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province; Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musa'ed, Governor of Najran Region; Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region; Prince Husam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha Region; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail; Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region; Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Region; Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region; and Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf Region.

Further, King Salman was briefed on the main agenda of the 26th annual meeting of the regions' governors.

The audience was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, and Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Daoud, Deputy Minister of Interior.

The Interior Minister chaired on Monday a meeting for the governors who discussed several topics including activating the role of Vision Realization Office, the electronic transformation plan and the development role of regions.
